ginger float

Looked so good I drank half of it before I remember to take a picture.

carbonated water, ice cream, and ginger syrup

Recipe” for the float from food52.com, from same page as the ginger syrup I used last week for ginger ale.

And as a bonus, when making the syrup, use the strained out pieces of ginger to make a simple, natural “tea” by simply them adding to boiling water. The small amount of sugar absorbed by the ginger pieces results in a slightly sweet tea.
